Two disciples of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Ji, viz. Pt. Ram Narayan Mishra and Shri Gauri Shankar Prasad were instrumental in establishing the college. The college was established in 1938 as an Intermediate college recognized by Banaras Hindu University. It got degree status from the University in 1947 and permanent affiliation in 1954. The college started running undergraduate courses in the faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Commerce, and in 2008 the University allowed the college to start Ph.D. Research and Post Graduate courses in four subjects namely, Commerce, Sociology, Economics and History.
This competition challenges students through three engaging stages, culminating in an award ceremony for the top three winners and seven challengers in a cheerfullpresense of all the participants. The event is scheduled to be held on 1st & 2nd May 2025
Note: For Stages 1, 2 & 3 participants can use either English or Hindi as language in the competition as the question paper is Bilingual.
Competition Process
The Grand Finale of ComputekFest 25 promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the competition, as the top 10 participants take to the stage to showcase their skills and talents. In a nail-biting presentation round, each participant will have just two minutes to introduce themselves, highlight their achievements, and demonstrate their expertise in their field. In next section, the participants will engage in a heated debate on a given topic, with each contestant having three minutes to present their arguments and counterpoints. The topic, revealed only at the last minute, will require the participants to think on their feet, showcasing their knowledge, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. The judges will be looking for clarity, conviction, and creativity, as they deliberate on the winner of the coveted title of ComputekFest 25 champion. The audience will be on the edge of their seats as the participants battle it out in this intense and exciting finale.
